About Me

I’m Robert McKim, founder of Iron Legacy Coaching, Certified Personal Trainer, Culinary Nutrition Coach, and proud US Army and Missouri Army National Guard Soldier. For over three decades, I’ve lived in two worlds: the structured, high-demand life of the military, and the everyday responsibilities of being a husband, father, and professional. I know what it’s like to balance long hours, family commitments, and still try to stay fit and healthy.

Fitness has been more than a hobby for me—it’s been a lifeline. From leading Soldiers in the field, recovering from my own near-death experience, to preparing for a bodybuilding competition at 53, training has taught me that strength isn’t just physical. It’s mental. It’s emotional. It’s the ability to endure hardship, stay disciplined, and keep moving forward when life gets tough.

That’s why I started Iron Legacy Coaching: to take everything I’ve learned—on the battlefield, in the weight room, and in life—and pass it on.
